Data by KHDA (Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority) revealed that the number of international students coming to Dubai for their higher education increased by 12 %. 8 % annual growth has been reported in the total number of student enrollment in international higher education institutions in Dubai. According to Data, the total number of students enrolled in the universities for different programs exceeds 30,000.
The number of programs offered by international higher education in Dubai increased by 21% in the last three academic years. The programs in business, engineering and technologies are featured as the most demanding among students in Dubai. Currently, 618 programs are offered by different international universities in their campuses in Dubai. It’s very interesting that 80% of graduated students from universities in Dubai have placed for employment or pursuing further studies. This report shows that Dubai is emerging as hub for international students who are looking to study abroad. According to the data, 60% of students are into under graduation and 30% of students are into post-graduation studies.
30% of total students are international students coming from 169 nationals and 40% of them are female. This rise of inbound international students indicates that Dubai is becoming a popular destination to study abroad also it considered as strengthening element for its developmental journey towards its D33 agenda to make Dubai a global pioneering hub for higher education as envisioned by Dubai Government.
